Funds to rebuild the home of Jon and Diane Allen...
On June 23rd, my father Jon Allen was mowing the grass in a field far from the house. As he turned the mower to go another direction, he saw smoke where the house was. He called 911 and was able to get into part of the house and get a few things-- a few photos, important papers, and Sarah's Wedding dress. (Sarah, youngest Allen daughter, is due to get married July 3rd).
It was only a few minutes and the house was engulfed. By the time the firefighters got there, all they could do was keep the surrounding areas from catching fire. The home and everything in it is gone. It was a total loss.
We all loved the family home. My parents lived there for 27 years. It was the center of all holiday happenings for our family. It was the home we grew up in. We know it's all just "stuff" but you can't live without necessities. We will always have the memories from this special place. Money cannot replace so many sentimental items, but any financial gift helps.
We are believing God will use this for his glory, and show us his purpose in all of this. Please continue to lift up my parents and family in your prayers.
