Donation protected
YOU can be a part of a community that will give special needs adults a place to live happy, healthy, safe and producitive lives. Our next effort in the dream is to obtain the materials in order to build the lodge, which will be the hub of the community.

Itawamba Crossroads Ranch, located in Fulton, Mississippi, was founded by Renee Bennett. Renee’s vision for this project was one borne from tragedy. Thirteen years ago, Renee’s son Marcus, then, only 17, sustained a traumatic brain injury as the result of a motorcycle accident. After spending the years that followed in the miserable and confusing, and often frustrating maze of various institutions, one mother, decided the way to change the face of assisted living for young adults with special needs, is to just dig in and do it herself. Renee’s dream is simply to advocate in the best interests of these young adults in the least restrictive, most productive, safest environment possible. More specifically, her vision includes a 100% privately funded, residential community for her son, Marcus, and other highly functioning individuals in which to thrive. Currently, Crossroads is a SPECIAL PROJECT taken on by the CREATE Foundation. This dream is becoming a reality with the help of people like you.
Crossroads would include: a lodge for group meals, education center and gathering place, single detached cottages for residents, and an organic garden complete with greenhouse, and equine assisted therapy. The Skills Depot is the beating heart, the hub of this facility. The Skills Depot is the area in which residents meet for occupational therapy rooted in real life skills, as well as practice social interaction with each other and volunteers. The Ranch provides a happy, healthy, and secure environment for everyone. Not only those who choose to call it home, but to all who enter there.
