Save our Ice Arena
Lightning has struck more than once!
With the recent summer storms here in Perth, lightning has struck our ice arena Xtreme Ice Arena, taking out our equipment used to maintain the ice. With this our ice, has turned to water and flooded our building. We have only just recovered from it happening to us in the summer storms of 2016.
After the 2016 storms we invested all we had to get going again and we did however we did not anticipate it happening to us again!! We want to get back up and running as quickly as possible and need your help!! With our doors closed as we have the clean-up operation underway, we have no income coming in while we still have bills to pay. Whilst we are insured we have no idea how long it will take for the company to process our claim.
Our ice arena is home away from home for a lot of people here in Perth who look forward to the sessions we offer. We also provide ice time for a range of ice sports and without us being open ice hockey teams will become homeless, speed skaters and figure skaters will have limited options to practice.
We love ice sports here at Xtreme and have committed ourselves to the development of them here in Perth. We believe that ice skating is something that any ability can do and have a fully accessible rink which we don't want to see closed.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated so we can get our arena back open for everyone to enjoy.
Any funds donated will be used to help buy new equipment to restore the ice and refurbish our reception area that was badly damaged in the flooding so we can get opened as quickly as possible.
Thanks for taking the time to read our plight and as we said any donations would be appreciated.
