As hard as this is for me to admit; we need help. As many of you know, Kevin is very ill. He is in the process of getting on the heart transplant list at MUSC. He has not been able to work for a while. His disability does not cover the cost of his medicine each month.
Before he got sick, we used my teacher's salary to pay our house payment, farm feed, my car's gas and some groceries. Kevin's income paid everything else. His illness has added to the monthly budget that we can not afford. I have been trying to sell things to raise money but it is not enough.
I have state insurance and we are very thankful for it but it does not cover everything. Right now we owe MUSC over 900.00, his medicine is several hundred per week, and we are going to appointments almost weekly in Charleston and the travel expence it high. We have also been told that before we can get on the transplant list we must have 15,000.00 liquid to prove we can afford to buy his meds and stay in Charleston for 3 months after the surgery. Luckily my insurance will cover 10,000.00 so we only need 5,000.00 in that account.
In the mean time, we have immediate needs for past due bills.
Our needs are on going and I just can't do it by myself. I am so tired. I have even considered trying to sell our home but at the moment it would not pass inspection. I pray every day that things don't fall apart.
If you can, please help us. My husband is a wonderful man, husband, father, friend, and "cool pop". If you are unable to help financially, please share this and ask your friends to share too. With great humiliation I thank you for anything you might be able to do.
Sincerely,
Robin Young
