Donations for the Nelson Family

On Friday, June 26, 2015 Bakersfield lost one of its finest young officers and Burbank lost one of its most beloved residents.  David was killed while chasing a suspect in a high speed pursuit.  The exact cause is unknown at this time, but David's cruiser was found crashed into a wall as fellow police officers arrived after responding to his call.  David was the most genuine human anyone could have met.  His laugh was contagious and, even if you were in a horrible mood, his laugh would make you laugh.  David always put others in front of himself.  A phenomenal swimmer, water polo player, all-around athlete, scholar, and officer of the law, David did it all.  He was an amazing friend, a beloved son and brother, and a respected man.  The world has truly lost a hero.

Lastly, GoFundMe has requested I provide a little extra information to show who I am...
I'm Joshua Lawrence, one of David's first friends from elementary school.  We played on the same sports team too many times to remember (swim, basketball, baseball, soccer, etc.)  I am from Burbank, CA...just like David.  Once the donations have stopped coming in, I will be withdrawing them, driving to David's parent's house and presenting a check to Mary and Larry Nelson.  The donations are to help the family with any expenses or memorials they wish to create for David.
