YES TOUR LA

Young Enterprising Society’s mission is to be an international epicenter for financially, politically and socially progressive individuals. Serving as a hub, YES aims to mobilize people, information, resources and capital for the greater good of its members and society at large.

In May 2015 Young Enterprising Society will embark on our 7th national tour, the “YES Tour LA,” bringing young professionals together to expand their business ties along with contributing to the well-being of a distant community. Our principle objective on the YES Tour LA is to build a community garden for the homeless women and children who are taken off Skid Row. YES will volunteer over 800 hours to prepare, start, build, and stabilize a garden and greenhouse to feed over 10,000 people per year. In addition, YES will host “YES Day” and a musical concert.

YES Day has been implemented in Chicago, Milwaukee, Houston and New York and encompasses three of our programs aimed at nurturing students and their parents. During the day, YES provides a Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Math based workshop, Financial Literacy Training, and free haircuts and nail services to students and parents.

The musical concert will feature artists associated with Young Enterprising Society including Jacob Latimore, Kari Epps, Charlie Stardom and Reggie Bonds. The concert will raise money for local art programs, grow the artists’ fanbase while providing marketing for sponsors.

YES is partnering with small and large companies to make this tour a success. The larger companies will provide financial support while partnering organization will help with the grass roots movement and mobilizing the people.

YES has worked with over 200 small businesses and large corporations to fulfill mutual goals and all of our partners have been completely satisfied with our work. The companies that we have worked with include, The Milwaukee Brewers, UBER, Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, Echoing Green, Newaukee and multiple YMCA branches. YES has been able to effectively provide grass roots marketing for these companies, efficiently utilizing our network to achieve dual goals.

YES is self-funding this tour as vast majority of our tours have been with the help of a Go Fund Me campaign. YES is asking for your support in the form of a monetary or in-kind donation.
