My name is Darus Gonzalez. I'm 28 years old and for the past two years I have had one disaster after another.
It started in may of 2015 when I was injured at work. Workers comp denied my claim as was their right and this started the downward spiral.
In July of 2015 we lost our apartment as I no longer could afford payments to it as I was receiving no benefits. Luckily I was able to move back in with my mother, but this too was short lasted as in late 2015, a few weeks after finally receiving legal aid from workers comp, my stepmother passed away.
Having to move again we moved in with one of my good friends and another person. This third person ended up being a roommate from hell and even successfully sued us. After this we thought that things were stable as we were waiting for surgery and no more crisis seemed to be showing up.
Unfortunately houston flooded a few weeks later and we lost my car. So now I was without a car to drive. David's car had to suffice us and we needed no more problems.
But this too wasn't the end as a few months later David was in a car accident and totaled his vehicle. We were able to scrounge around and buy a car from carmax and thought okay we have it this time it's just gonna get more tight around here.
That's when the new car started having issues. It fails to start and really worries us as we have no idea what to do. Carmax refused to help us stating that after 30 days they weren't liable for car problems.
So against my own beliefs I come humbly before yall hoping that you can help us out. This gofundme is solely to aide us in getting a new car that actually works. Please if you can even spare a dollar it will go a long way. If you can't spare than maybe you can share this to those you know. Thankyou.
