After two immersive live performances in Charlotte, Your Neighborhood Orchestra continues the voyage to outer space with a recorded album release in early 2023.
Elizabeth Kowalski (founder of Your Neighborhood Orchestra and Charlotte New Music), Master Kie, RoyalCity Lif, and other creatives are headed to the studio to share this chamber music album globally. The album will be available via digital download, CD, and all major streaming platforms.
Pre-order your copy with a donation:
- A donation of at least $20 will get you a free ticket to the release party + digital download of the album (coming soon in 2023).
- At $40+, you'll receive what's mentioned above + digital YNO coloring book.
- At $50+, everything above including 2 free tix to the release party!
- $100 everything above + listed as a supporter in the album liner notes.
Costs:
- $400 will cover album art design.
- $1,500 goes towards marketing/publicity/distribution.
- $4,000 is recording studio costs for multiple days, mixing, mastering.
- $125/session per musician (10) at multiple sessions.
As of Jan 9, we've gotten midway through recording and have a few sessions left. Everything's sounding amazing & it's exciting how this project will become a moving, imaginative listening journey!

An astronaut's voyage to outer space, “Lost In Space” is a Sci-Fi Bio-Mystery told via chamber orchestra, crafted beats, spoken word, & dance. When viewing Earth from outer space, a new perspective is gained and our existence will depend on our ability to transcend.
