Thank you for visiting my fundraising campaign. I am proud to share that I have written a children's book: "Your Hands Can Change The World!" written and illustrated by me, with some illustration help from my daughter, Adrianna. This is a non-fiction picture book for young children about how we can use our hands to share.
This book is the first installment in what will be a series for children about how we can use our 5 senses (hands, eyes, ears, mouth, nose, and brain/thoughts) for GOOD for the world. This book teaches children concrete ways they can use their hands to share with others, and how to see common things (like our 5 senses) in a deeper and more spiritual way.
Like many business endeavors, an initial investment is required. I have decided to invest in assisted publishing through Balboa Press. They are a self-publishing platform through Hay House Publishing and will assist me in the formatting and design of my book, publishing, marketing, and sales. If my book does well, I will have the opportunity to present my series to Hay House for traditional publishing.
I will donate 10% of my book sales to various organizations that focus on the education and care of children and families. Examples include (but are not limited to): Reach Out and Read, Parents as Teachers, and Spirituality for Kids.
100% of the funds raised will go directly to the upfront publishing cost of my book, including the cost of the program and a small book inventory that I can sell locally. I hope to see you at a story time/book signing in the near future and thank you for the love and support.
