Hiking the Colorado Trail

My name is Vanessa Woodman and I recently graduated from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. I studied Communication and Latin American Studies. Through UNLV I had the opportunity to work and study in Costa Rica for two years. I am extremely grateful for my time spent traveling, and the beautiful people I have met along the way.
Before I venture onto the next chapter in my life, I have decided to hike the 486 mile Colorado trail from Denver, Co to Durango, Co. The average altitude is 10,000 ft and it will take 4-6 weeks to hike.
As many may already know, my Father drowned in the Colorado river so this journey has great significance and would be a huge accomplishment for me. I feel blessed to be able to take this time away from work and study, while I sumerge myself in nature, and reconnect with myself.
Any donation would go directly to the food I need on the hike. I will only be able to carry one weeks worth of food at a time. I will have to mail myself the rest of my meals, and I will hike to different Post Offices to retreat it. As little as $1 would buy me a Cliff bar! Any money left over will go to "Therepresentationproject.org" an organization I strongly support, which builds confidence in girls and boys.  Thank you for your support as I embark on this life changing journey.
