IAFF Local 81 Operation Warm

Donation protected
In 2012, Operation Warm partnered with the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF). As the engine behind our move to American coat manufacturing, Fire Fighters expand our mission, support jobs for Americans, and impact the lives of children throughout their communities.

Backmann Elementary School in Salt Lake City has been chosen by the Professional Firefighters of Utah (PFFU) and IAFF Local 81 (Salt Lake CIty) to receive coats for their students. Backman Elementary School was chosen based on the needs of their students. 98% of their students quailify for free or reduced meals.

While we would love to provide coats to all the kids at Backman, our goal is to put a new coat on every 2nd and 3rd grader at the school.  Our goal is 172 coats.

By donating, you are helping put a new coat on a child in need.

Operation Warm is very proud to inform donors that 97 cents on every dollar goes directly to the coat program. 3 cents of every dollar raised goes to the overhead expenses necessary to sustaining and growing our mission. Every donation significantly impacts the life of a child by translating to warmth and happiness through the gift of a brand new winter coat.
