The Man Walk - Positive Health Benefits to Men Across Australia – Walk Talk Support
The Man Walk Australia (Incorporated) was established to provide an accepting positive environment for men to come together to Walk, Talk and Support. The Man Walk has evolved from a group of local men (Kiama NSW) using a morning walk to improve their own mental health and productivity in general life. Starting as a few friends enjoying the walk, sharing stories and life’s challenges, has now moved to a fast-evolving revolution in providing an accessible, accepting and healthy environment for other men anywhere across Australia and New Zealand.
The Man Walk committee is working tirelessly to allocate key ambassadors in each location of interest, implementing simple although thorough Man Walk guidelines to support men in each region get the walk operational as fast as practical.
The recent Facebook activity has proven to be the evidence the Man Walk Committee, and the general community needs to push forward into cementing The Man Walk as a leading means of Men’s mental health support.
We are fundraising to help raise some capital so we can implement a paid administration staff member to help establish The Man Walk as quickly and sustainably as possible in as many areas as requested.
The small working committee has been overwhelmed with the volume of correspondence received, and we want to ensure that no one is missed.
The Man Walk committee will be funding an administration staff member whilst we wait for more funds to be raised.
