Paws up for Luca

Hello everyone!! My name is Marie, and this is my 6 months old lab puppy Luca. He's super energetic, loving, playful and the sweetest pup. My one and only companion!

I am asthmatic. Not chronic, but still need to have a nebulizer and viles of albuterol medication at reach specifically at night time hours. Yesterday, July 11th, at around 11:30 pm, while I was in the kitchen, Luca was able to get a hold of 2 viles of 3ml each of albuterol that were placed inside my top drawer in the closet. By the time I caught him, the viles were already punctured and he had swallowed some of the medication in it. Albuterol consumption in dogs can be very dangerous and if not treated promptly, it can be lethal. You can see the symptoms and what it can cause here:

He was not presenting any symptoms when we arrived to the Vet ER which is located 30 minutes from my house. 15 minutes in and his heart beat rate sky rocketed, he was panting non stop, coughing and extremely hyper. After contacting the ASPCA Poison Control and getting more information on the treatment, they informed me that Luca needed to stay until Monday morning under close observation. They need to monitor his blood pressure hourly, perform some blood work and EKGs, administer fluids via IV and some other medication for his heart and some to calm him down. As you may be already familiarized, Vet hospitals don't start treatment until the bill is paid. His bill racked up to $2,679.00!

I live by myself in the state of Florida. So far I've started selling some of my personal belongings to raise some funds. I will continue to do everything in my power to get my puppy's vet bills paid... And that's why I'm here. I am asking for help to complete the payment of his medical treatment. I will update on his current status as they come in and adjust the goal as needed. This is not for me, but for my dog. I will post some more pictures including the vet bill as soon as I get to the clinic after I get out of work. Every donation is greatly appreciated.
