Quiej Family Eviction Fund
Donation protected
Lucia Quiej, an undocumented women living in Homestead, Florida, spoke to the Democratic presidential candidates in Miami on March 9 about the situation of herself and her five children, whose father was deported from the United States.
"What can you do to stop deportations and reunify families?" she asked them. She spoke for her own family and thousands of others that have been separated by deportations and our broken immigration system.
Lucia and her family have struggled since her husband's deportation, and now her landlord has begun eviction
proceedings against her. She may have to leave her apartment in a couple of weeks. She is looking for a new apartment she can afford now.
The money raised by this campaign will be used to help Lucia and her family to pay the first month, last month and security deposit on a new apartment. She spoke out for many of us. Can you give her and her family a hand?
