Cory Swapp

Words cannot even express the sadness that consumes a life when someone who should have stayed with us a lot longer is taken from us. The empty hole that he left will never be filled, but the cherished memories of such a wonderul human will make this all bearable.  Cory Swapp passed away this past Friday. He was only 16 years old and we will miss him terribly. Cory was a bright young man and someone we are all lucky to know. He had an infectious smile and was always caring towards those around him.

I’d like to invite all of you to keep him and his family in your prayers and to help support the Swapp family in any way that you can. What initially started as a desire to help the Swapp family get through this difficult time with our finacial donations has turned into a campaign to raise awareness and prevention for teen suicide. With this being said, it is now the heart of the Swapp family to turn this tragedy into a passioned awareness and the family is joining forces with a local non profit organization called Quit Tripp'n located in South Jordan.  This non profit is dedicated to  raising  awareness of teen suicide. They also  give teens a place to talk and meet with others who are facing the same difficulties. If you have any questions or would like to know anything else about this non profit organization you can visist the webpage at www.quittripn.org The family has requested that all donations be made to this non profit. Teen suicide hit our family close to home this time. There are no words, no amount of money, and nothing that this world could offer to make this kind of pain go away.  What we can do is prevent it from paralizing yet another family. This kind of pain and heartache can't be made any easier, but the financial support of the people that loved him and his family can, to some extent, ease the paralizing blow of such a loss and hopefully save another family from such a tragedy.

Cory left this world a better place and everyone who knew him is better for it.

He is already so terribly missed.
