Andrew's Orlando Move Fund

Hello there!

For those of you who don't know me, I'm Andrew.  I help  co-host the 52 Now!, an awesome podcast on iTunes and zowiekerpowey.com, where I am also a guest contributor.  Zowie is basically a community dedicated to giving a voice to local/independent artists and cosplayers in the central Florida area.  It's a blast, and I've thoroughly enjoyed being part of the ZK family.

Unfortunately, we at ZK have hit a slight snag.  One of my oldest friends and the man behind practically all of the great interviews, articles, and overall content for the site, Dave Pasco, has become overwhelmed with running the site, working his full-time job, and being an awesome husband.

So after much discussion, we both agreed that I should help with taking on a lot of those responsibilities to make his life easier.  I love the work we're doing with the site, so this was a no-brainer.  There's just one catch.

I live all the way out in Louisiana.

When it came to co-hosting a podcast, this wasn't a problem.  Dave and I would just set up a session via Skype or iChat and go at it.  We'd even manage to get decent sound quality thanks to his saavy know-how.

But a lot of the work on the site (especially most of the interviews with local artists and businesses) requires me to be in close proximity to where all of ZK's action is taking place.  So I am moving to Orlando in late August/early September.

My current job is fun, but unfortunately it doesn't pay enough for me to both pay my bills and save up for the upcoming move.  I've applied for some jobs out in the Orlando area that were referred to me, and will be doing interviews for said jobs in the coming weeks/month.

In the meantime, I'm looking for ways to make sure I am financially stable once I make the move out to Florida.

This is where you wonderful people come in!

I made a GoFundMe page thanks to the suggestion of a good friend.  All donations I receive will go to me (whether or not I reach my goal), other than the GoFundMe website "taxes", because they need to pay their bills too (you can check out what that entails by checking out their "Pricing & Fees" section of the site, or you can simply message me and I'll go over it with you).  All of the donations I receive will be used for all of the basic needs I will have for the first few months out in Orlando, including: food, gas, toiletries, car insurance, and any other bills I may have to take care of.

I am super-appreciative and grateful to anyone and everyone who donates ANY amount.  Times are tough for a lot of folks, which is pretty much why I'm making this campaign.  The journey I'm about to embark on is a risky one, but I have faith it will be totally worth it in the end.  So I'm not going to quit.  Working on this site has become a passion of mine, and I'm not going to let this opportunity pass me up.

I love every single one of you who have helped me to get this far in my career and vocation.  Your continued support and encouragement have been a huge blessing to me, and I could never thank you enough!

Thank you so very much to all of you, and I will absolutely keep everyone who's interested posted about what happens!!
