Broke Author Marketing Fund
Getting published today is like running a gauntlet of rejection after rejection after rejection from publishing companies. . . which isn't something new to writers. Except in today's writing market almost everything is going digital and publishing houses are tightening up their belts for only "sure thing best sellers", which, on the whole is still hit or miss. That means most aspiring writers (like myself) have turned to self-publishing. Yet there are a billion pitfalls with that. Self-publishers have to hire their own editors and do their own marketing. And as one who is as flat broke as I am (living month to month on a $10/hour job that just keeps me alive) funds for editors and marketing just isn't there.
I am not asking for much. I just need funds to help hire a good cover artist for another series I am working on, money to pay the amazing person who has been helping me edit my books so she can continue doing so, and money to use so I can either hire the marketing sources at the websites I am using for self-publishing.
If this really is too much, and you are about as broke as I am, you could also help me in a simpler way - go to Amazon.com and put in a search either for Tales from Gulinger High, Hallowedspell, or the Author Julie Steimle and simply buy 1 Kindle e-book. They go for about $1.49 - .99, which really is not much at all. And, if you could, please share this with your friends via Twitter, Facebook, or any other site you use to share with friends.

(A forewarning: Not all the books on the author page are authorized copies. If the price looks outlandish, I was not the one who set it.)
I have a blog for the current series published at Amazon.

I have some free reads available at bookrix.com:

And a few blurbs (which you may have to search for in the galleries) at deviantart.com:

But please don't just read everything for free. I gotta eat. ;)
Much of it is still a work in progress.
JK Rowling's first book Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (better known as Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone) was rejected by 12 publishing houses before it was finally taken up by Little Brown. Beatrix Potter had to publish The Tales of Peter Rabbit herself. I just need a little boost.
Thanks for any support you can give me.
