Mems Soul Food (MSF) is a not-for-profit charitable organisation that delivers life-changing programs to young ladies and families in crisis, with the aim to provide them with the ‘Recipes To Life': essential life lessons and guidance.
Founded in 2013 by Mem Hockley, the charity provides groundbreaking programs, offering a unique experience to those who attend, by giving them a chance to make positive changes in the direction of their lives.
With a strong focus on cooking, nutrition, fitness and life skills, the program helps the participants find their feet in a supportive, encouraging environment.
MSF has previously partnered with local police services on the ‘Recipes To Life’ program for young girls, offering an alternative to the often sterile community service programs provided to juveniles. Mem is a mentor and inspiration to many young women who have completed her programs and now those programs are about to extend to young girls, as well as families, in need across Australia. Mem enhances the community through her passionate advocacy and commitment to helping people.
Now that the program is growing and expanding, MSF needs your support to help raise funds to buy a 12 seater van for the upcoming MSF Tour. The van will allow Mem and her team to travel across Australia, bringing the program to struggling communities, allowing people to take part in a range of vital learning experiences offered under the program.
Please note, any funds raised over the target will be used to support the ongoing operational costs of MSF programs. Crowdfunding support will also help us to sponsor participants in the programs. The cost to sponsor one participant in the program is $50 per day.
Your help and support is greatly appreciated and money raised will dramatically improve the lives of those in need who would otherwise not have the opportunity to take part in the program. Mem and the MSF team X
