Kennet Gencks Memorial Fund
In midOctober 2015, Kennet Rowan Gencks (AKA Netdancer) was admitted to the hospital in Indianapolis, Inidana due to complications of Diabetes. Two day sbefore, Kennet learned he was clear of malignant breat cancer, only to be hospitalized due to vertigo, loss of sensation, and difficulty breathing.
After being induced into a coma to control cardiac arrhythmia and reduce swelling, Kennets' kidneys began to shut down. Currently he is on life support and dialysis, He also has an arterial IV to monitor his blood pressure, as his limbs are too swollen due to water retention and vascular constriction to accomodate conventional methods.
Kennet has been a beacon of hope, inspiration, and courage to his family and friends for over four decades, Active in his Church and the LGBT Commnity in Indianapolis and the world at large, Kennet has long been a crusader for wequal rights, tolerance, and acceptance of all peoples. His embodiment of the Divine Love he so adores is both healing and inspiring to many people throughout the world. Never one to boast, Kennet could likely not count all of his dear friends across the globe whose lives he has touched with a calculator.
I know that twenty-four years ago, before 'coming out' was a thing, Kennet was there for me as I journeyed to self-discovery and realization. He has been a constant impactful force, always accepting without judging and always supporting without overextending his own (meager) resources. I am, perhaps, one of the people he's assisted and supported the least -- there are literally hundreds of other people who have found solace, comfort, joy, and a sense of belonging in Kennet's presence.
ALL funds received will go to pay for Kennet's medical care not covered by insurance and Medicaid, as well as support for himself an dhis immediate family in this time of extensive and profound need.
