Help Andrea March To Ireland

As most know, Andrea Ruiz is an alumn from DeKalb High School and was a four year member of the marching band. Her freshman year the band took a trip to New Orleans where they competed and won. Sadly, Andrea was not able to attend that trip because of financial needs. In Spring of 2017, the DeKalb High School Marching Barbs are taking a trip to Dublin, Ireland to march in the St. Patrick's Day Parade. Again, another big trip that Andrea was bummed about missing, but this time it was because of being a graduate.
This fall, Andrea Ruiz is going to be an incoming freshman at Illinois State University and will be a member of the marching band. Luckily, Andrea has recently found out that every 10 years, the Illinois State University Big Red Marching Machine takes a trip to Ireland. While in Ireland the band will march in the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Dublin, perform at the St. Patrick's Cathedral, and compete in the Limerick International Band Competition. Spring of 2017 marks another 10 years of when the Big Red Marching Machine will be going to Ireland. The band will be in Ireland on March 14th through March 21st.
Not only will they be competing and performing throughout Ireland, but they will also see and experience the culture by traveling through cities like Dublin, Galway, and Limerick. Some sites they will be visitng during the trip include Trinity College, the Cliffs of Moher, Bunratty Castle, and the Blarney Castle.
The cost of the trip is around $2,700 and the money will go towards all travel expenses, hotels, two meals a day, and entrance fees into sites.
This trip means a lot to Andrea and will definitely be a life changing experience. She will have an educational experience and also be able to bond with her new band members. Any little bit of money helps out and she will be extremely grateful if the entire cost gets paid off. Thank you so much for your support and please spread the word!
