Please, Help Me Fund My New Service Dog
Donation protected
My wonderful service dog, Emmy, a black labrabor retriever, is retiring for medical reasons. My new service dog is being trained, but I will need to pay 1/3 of the costs for the training. That is $7000.00.
I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, an autoimmune disease that affects many parts of the body in addition to joints. In my case, I cannot bend over easily, and cannot pick up things I have dropped. I tire very easily, and have balance problems. I am confined to a wheelchair part of the time, otherwise I use a cane, walker or a scooter to get around. Some days are worse than others.
My new service dog will be able to help me do the laundry, turn wall switches off and on, open doors, drawers, and pantry doors, help me get dressed and undressed. Over the past 5 1/2 years with Emmy, I have come to know how much more independent I can be if I have a service dog. Independence means: I can go to the grocery store; attend meetings; go to Church; go down the driveway to pick up the mail; and many more things. I can't begin to list all the ways my life is better with Emmy. Without her, I will be lost and completely dependent on the kindness of others to get through each day.
Please help me become independent once more by contributing any amount. Even $5.00 can make a big difference!
Thank you, very much!
