A new Chapter

Me and the boys have been staying at the Holiday Inn for going on 3 weeks or so. We initionally started at the hotel due to A terrible incident between me and my youngest two boys father. On February 6th thier Father put me in the hospital for the night by physically beating my face and head then proceeded to throw me down a flight of stairs and when I finally sit up on the bottom step he then pulls a gun out, announces that he is not finished yet, cocks the gun.. and for some reason never pulls the trigger. It was the scariest few seconds of my life because I thought that for sure that was going to be the end of my life.  He puts the gun up and calls the police on hisself.. after I get out of the hospital, with a few cuts, some bruises and a broken nose, Me and the boys head to the Holiday Inn. About a week later, I have filled out an Application for an apartment and one of the papers requires a reference from the landlord of where we were currently renting from... and the landlord calls me and wants to do a walk thru our house to check out the cleanliness and I didn't want nor need to go out there because of being scared that my ex would show up or anything for that matter.. but this walk thru was the only thing holding me back as to getting a reference for a permanent home for me and my boys so I felt I had to go. When I arrive to the house the inside of the house was cold so I went to the thermostat and just turned it on around 12 p.m. I didn't light anything ..just turned the gas heat on. I do not have a sense of smell due to brain trauma 2 years ago so if the house was filling up with gas.. I never smelt it. Around 4:20 p.m. something caused enough ignition to cause the house to completely explode. I was standing in the kitchen at the time and my boys.. I'm guessing.. were in the living room. The explosion threw me into the boys room... where then I hear my boys hollering my name. Thanks To God.. my boys ended up with not a scratch on them. I had a severe knee dislocation. A gash on the back of my head that had to be stapled and a sprained shoulder. I go next Tuesday to find out when and how they'll do my knee surgery to try and reconstruct my knee muscles... because it tore the ACL and the PLC and all the smaller muscles around the knee. I also have to have nose surgery soon due to the previous broken nose Injury . So right now me and my boys are taking it one day at a time.. Thanking God everyday.. for saving my life twice and my boys lives from the explosion. I'm looking into apartments or a place I can afford as we speak .I do have an awesome job at UPS but due to injuries I'll be out of work for a little bit longer. in the meantime.. I'm having trouble with funds staying in the hotel.. it gets expensive.. I hate asking for help.. but I know that right now I could really use anything to help get me and my boys headed in the right direction onto a new Chapter , a better Chapter, of our lives.
