Cody the Pug's Eye Surgery
Donation protected
Pacific Pug Rescue received a call from Three Rivers Humane Society this weekend; they had a pug in their care (who we'ved named Cody) who was in bad shape and they hoped the rescue would be willing to take him in, clean him up and find him a good home.
The story goes that Cody was wandering the streets when a kind UPS driver picked him up. The police were called, but his family could not be found and he ended up going to the local humane society.
On April 3rd, one of our foster parents made the 5hr round trip drive to go pick him up and sign him over to the care of Pacific Pug Rescue. Cody was seen by a local vet on Monday the 4th and the prognosis is heartbreaking. Cody is in very rough shape and will need 2, maybe 3 surgeries to address:
* Bilateral eye removal
* Neutering
* Dental (severe dental disease)
* Tumor removal
As you can imagine, Cody's eyes are very painful. We want to get his bilateral eye removal scheduled for as soon as possible. With your help, we can get this little man feeling much better very soon. The $3,000 goal is an estimate to cover all of his needed surgeries. Every little bit helps, thank you for your consideration.

Cody is currently in the care of Pacific Pug Rescue in Portland Oregon; a 501c3 nonprofit organization incorporated in 2006 that exists to rescue, rehabilitate and place unwanted, abandoned, neglected and abused Pugs in permanent adoptive homes that have been carefully screened. Pacific Pug Rescue is an all-volunteer organization; we do not have a shelter facility and all rescued pugs live with volunteer foster families while they wait to be adopted.
Thank you for anything you can give. You make the difference in the care of these special needs pugs.
