PICASSO’S CHRIST is the intriguing, true story about the history of one particularly remarkable piece of art; a 7”x9” charcoal sketch, titled, “Christ”, which is credited to Pablo Ruiz Picasso in 1906, but has yet to be authenticated due to mysterious reasons we hope to resolve during the course of production research and exploration.
This fascinating documentary is already interviewing artists, collectors, celebrities, museum curators and experts in antique, european art who have so far been as enthusiastic about its authenticity as outright fearful and apprehensive regarding it's provenance.

At first glance the sketch appears to be an authentic work of the artist, however several attempts to have it authenticated have been roadblocked and the murky, sometimes notorious, history of it’s previous owners leaves more questions than answers.

But one thing is for certain, all have been smitten by it’s beauty, curious by it’s bizarre pedigree and encouraging to the goal of the mission: discover the truth; is “Christ | 1906” an authentic work of art by Pablo Picasso?

Production will continue filming interviews throughout 2017 in Southern California, New York, Michigan, Texas, Florida, Washington D.C., and South Carolina, as well as interviews in Madrid, Spain and Paris, France. The film will track down and interview the previous owners of the artwork, including Andrew Crispo, ultimately ending in Europe to have the work officially authenticated by the artist’s heirs via the Picasso Foundation.

Upon completion, the documentary will be available to all major digital outlets for streaming rental and purchase online, as well as ongoing exhibitions on a domestic and international art gallery and museum tour. Additionally, we will screen at film festivals and theatrical venues globally as opportunity and resources afford.
