Restoration of the Cemetery

The SAR ( Sons of the American Revolution-David Humphrey's Branch) and the DAR ( daughters of the American Revolution-is combining efforts to restore the old Christ Episcopal Church Cemetery in Stratford.  This cemetery is also important because William Samuel Johnson who was a signer of the Constitution is buried there, along with 18 other Rev,. War Soldiers.There are stones that are toppled over, stones that need to be cleaned. We need to have a professional come in and trim some of the trees, and we need money to repair and refinish the old Iron gate and fence. Any amount of money will be gratefully accepted. We need to restore this rich resting place of those who fought to give us our freedom.,
