Afro Caribbean Farmers' Market Callaloo Cash

Callaloo Cash is a farmers' market currency program designed to help local families and individuals who are in need of affordable access to clean and culturally appropriate food. The cash-holder will use them at vendors that provide essential, fresh and nutient-dense food, such as fruits, vegetables, eggs, fish, meat and bread. The cash system is organized into denominations of three ($3.00) CDN., and can be used in multiples.

The purpose of this system is to reduce the financial barriers of low-income people, so that they can enjoy ethical, local and CLEAN grown food.

We'd like to partner with food security and business organizations, or community members that want to give the gift of CLEAN food!

Distribute your own Callaloo Cash among your circle or the Afro Caribbean Farmers' Market can distribute them randomly during market hours. The choice is yours!
