Baby Jack - big cheeks and an even bigger heart

Donation protected
Last Thursday, baby Jack (pictured) went into heart failure and was airlifted to Westmead PICU. While the doctors and nurses have been amazing, his heart wasn’t showing signs of improvement so the decision was made to move him over to ECMO, a machine that takes over from the heart and lungs.

Jack and his parents- Victoria and Pat, are now in the process of being transferred down to Melbourne where he will be assessed for a heart transplant. The brave little man, with the big cheeks and even bigger heart has made everyone so proud throughout this ordeal and there’s no doubt he will continue to impress everyone with his fighting spirit.

Vic is currently 25 weeks pregnant and the family has to pack up and leave for Melbourne ASAP to be with their little boy. They could be there for as long as six months, and will need a way to pay for housing, newborn supplies and medical expenses. We, as their family, friends and work colleagues, ask for any donation no matter how big or small, for the family that has been dealt one blow too many this year.

These donations will go towards Jack’s medical expenses, Vic and Pat’s accommodation, and supplies for their newborn who is on the way. With your help, some financial stress will be alleviated for the family so they can continue to focus on baby Jack’s well-being, operation and eventual recovery. All your love, support and prayers are greatly appreciated. xx
