Budapest-Bamako by Campervan!
We are Matt and John and we are raising money for the AHU (African Hungarian Union) by taking part in the 2018 Budapest-Bamako Charity rally in January next year .
This is an event in which we are driving our 1980 VW Campervan 1800km to Budapest, and then 8000km from Budapest, Hungary all the way Banjul, Gambia over the course of 2 very intense weeks.
We are aiming to raise £8000 - £1 for each km of the route which we will travel.
100% of the funds raised on this page will go to the Charity themselves. Anything else we need we are handling seperately.
The AHU are a charity established in 2006 who provide educational and medical equipment (as well as vehicles, radio equipment, schools, pretty much anything else needed) to small towns and villages that need it in Africa. During the event, several large trucks will come along with us and we will deliver these vital supplies to towns and villages on the route.
The event is in January 2018, so we have a long way to to get prepared - but we're confident we can get there.
