Med/Trav Funds For Shooting Victim
Donation protected
Today, my brother was shot in Downtown Cleveland. He was walking and realized he was being followed. He confronted the person, and they shot him. He's currently in the ICU after receiving surgery. It went through his stomach, and pierced other vital organs such as his pancreas. He also may never have use of his leg again, as there is believed to be nerve damage at the root nerve at the base of his spine. They will be able to more accurately evaluate that later on. His phone was the only thing stolen, thankfully. They did not take his camera or wallet. Chris DeMund, my brother, is a combat veteran, who served in the United States Army until he went through an explosion, receiving injuries that ultimately ended up with him being medically separated, and honorably discharged. Currently, he was pursuing his love for photography, and making his living selling prints of his photos, and also beaded bracelets he would make. He has no other means of income at the time, so he will need help paying for everything. My mother and I both live states away from Chris, but we are getting to Cleveland as quickly as possible. Chris is a photographer, making his living by roaming the city and taking photos of what he believes people will love. He is very passionate about photography, and now he may not be able to do it anymore. His entire life has been turned upside down. Chris does have insurance that is supposed to cover the ICU stay. This gofundme is for medical care expenses (any that may not be covered by his insurance) that Chris will incur, both now and in the future, especially if this leaves him disabled. This is also for living expenses for him until he recovers, as well as to help cover travel expenses for both my mother and I. We will need food and lodging, as well as the money to pay for the fuel. Any donations are appreciated, and please share if you can't donate. Thank you all. -Ashlee Fletcher #Cleveland #downtowncleveland #criticalcondition #shootingvictim #mybrother #Emergency #helpplease #shooting #justiceforchris
