New Church in Belen, NM

WHAT WE NEED:
The Spirit of the Lotus is raising money to purchase a church located at 115 E. Ross Ave., Belen, NM 87002. Several months ago, a flood damaged the building from which we were renting space in downtown Belen, making the space unusable, and since that time, we have been looking for a new location. Everything happens for a reason, and by the grace of God, this wonderful opportunity has now presented itself. The church we would love to purchase is approximately 3,000 sq. ft. and is located on 1/3 of an acre. In addition to the chapel, the church has 5 rooms for office space and classrooms, as well as 2 bathrooms. It also has a large parking lot. We've included some pictures of the church and you can also check it out on Google Earth.
We need to raise $140,000 to purchase the church. We believe in all possibility!
WHO WE ARE:
The Spirit of the Lotus is an interfaith church where ALL ARE WELCOME. We emphasize teachings and principles which promote love and unity, and we endorse spiritual empowerment and self-mastery through knowledge, service, meditation, chanting, and prayer.
HOW TO DONATE:
The Spirit of the Lotus is recognized by the federal government as a non-profit religious corporation under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Therefore, ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE. There are two ways to donate: 1. You can donate to this GoFundMe campaign; or 2. You can send your donations directly to the Spirit of the Lotus by using the donate button on our website (www.spiritofthelotus.com ) or by mailing a check to our Santa Clara address (1015 Jefferson St., Santa Clara, CA 95050). Either way, you will get a receipt for your tax deductible donation. Please note that in addition to cash, we will also accept stock donations, and if you are interested in doing that, please email us at [email redacted]. 100% OF THE MONEY RAISED WILL BE USED TO PURCHASE THE CHURCH.
GIFTS OF APPRECIATION:
Of course, any donation amount will be greatly appreciated. However, for every donation of an amount between $1,000 - $9,999, Rev. Tara Lang, the head Minister of the Spirit of the Lotus, will give a free spiritual aura reading. The readings hold a $350 value and last for 1 hour. For every donation of $10,000 or more, Rev. Tara will give 3 free spiritual aura readings.
Please help us make our dream of owning a church in Belen, NM a reality. Among other things, we will be providing weekly church services as well as regular classes on a variety of religious/spiritual topics. We feel privileged to be a part of Belen, and look forward to working with the people of Belen and the surrounding communities!
