Help support the new Cosmotrons multiplayer arcade machine become successful across the USA! Cosmotrons is a four player gravity based space battle video arcade game being developed by Shane Gutbrod (an award winning middle school STEM/design teacher ) and Dave Furrer (a successful computer programmer now Project Lead, 15 years). Shane and Dave have taken their design, programming, and video game passions to a new level by creating their company Arcadeaholics LLC and developing the arcade game Cosmotrons. Dave and Shane's company, Arcadeaholics LLC, will be producing and selling actual Cosmotron arcade machines soon. We have two different styles of cabinets to help meet the budget and location needs of different arcades/arcade bars .
The Arcadeaholics will be taking BOTH of their fancy prototype machines on a 6000+ mile tour this summer to numerous arcades, arcade bars, and events. The purpose of this Go Fund Me Campaign is to help support the tour, which will in turn help create a community around Cosmotrons and lead to a successful arcade release of Cosmotrons. The Arcadeaholics are striving to be "arcade heroes" with delivering highly replayable games that players want but that also make sense cost wise for business owners. We want to be part of helping make the arcade gaming scene grow and "make arcades great again"!
Dave and Shane have received so much support and interest from the arcade community for Cosmotrons and are themselves arcade enthusiasts (hence their company name: Arcadeaholics) which is why they have decided to do an arcade release first. See the below interviews and messages from some of their supporters.
Legendary video and arcade game designer, Brian Colin (the creator of Rampage, General Chaos, Arch Rivals, and more) had so many great things to say about Cosmotrons. He came out to an event to meet us and offer us feedback on Cosmotrons. See his perspective on Cosmotrons and if we can get him to dance in the interview here:
Doc Mack is a major supporter of the arcade community, is also a game developer, and owns the biggest arcade in the world: Galloping Ghost Arcade in Brookfield, IL . Make sure to get out there if you have not. See his thoughts about Cosmotrons and if he could see Cosmotrons at Galloping Ghost Arcade:
Jeff Lee is another legendary video game artist/designer we have been so privileged to hang out with. He is known for games like Q*Bert. We have stayed in touch with Jeff since meeting him at the Midwest Gaming classic where we first showed Cosmotrons. Check out this interview to see his perspective on arcade gaming and Cosmotrons. Also see if we can get him to curse in gibberish like Q*Bert:
Kyle Carter is a co-founder/owner of Analog Arcade Bar in Davenport, IA . He was a person that early on expressed interest in Cosmotrons being released as an actual arcade machine (Originally, Dave and Shane were planning on Cosmotrons being a home release but due to the significant interest by arcade/barcade owners and the community, they are releasing Cosmotrons as an arcade machine). Kyle is very supportive about the Cosmotrons Arcade Tour 2017 and will be hosting Cosmotrons at the Analog Arcade Bar on July 13th and July 14th. Here is an explanation from him as to why:
This Go Fund Me campaign is specifically for the purpose of supporting Dave and Shane taking the Cosmotrons arcade machine across the nation for Cosmotrons Arcade Tour 2017! The goal of this tour is to build support for an arcade release of Cosmotrons which will ultimately impact the ability of Shane and Dave bringing future multiplayer arcade games to the scene in the future. Any funds raised will first be used to cover fuel and lodging costs. Any additional funds raised will then go towards expenses for the first initial run of Cosmotrons arcade cabinets. Fuel and lodging expenses are estimated to be $6593 for the main portion of the tour which will cover approximately 6,393 miles in 27 days with the goal of reaching 15+ different arcades, barcades, and events throughout the 17 states we will be going through! The main part of the tour is planned for July 13th - August 12th with some events prior and after.
Again, we plan to reach over 15 different arcades, barcades, and events! Some examples of planned events include:
-Grand opening of the Garcade arcade , Wisconsin July 1st
-Let's Play gaming convention, Wisconsin July 2nd

Supporting the Cosmotrons Arcade Tour 2017 will help jumpstart Shane and Dave's business, Arcadeaholics LLC, and the success of Cosmotrons. This tour will help them:
-Spread the word about Cosmotrons and their brand
-Allow arcade and arcade bar owners to try Cosmotrons, see it in their location, and how their customers react to it
-Make more connections with the arcade community and secure first initial sales of the Cosmotrons arcade machine
-Bring a new, gamer focused, arcade game to the gaming community!
Cosmotrons is just the beginning for Shane and Dave. With your support they can continue to develop and release gamer focused multiplayer arcade style games! We hope to be at least a small part of helping make the arcade scene stronger. The Cosmotrons Arcade Tour 2017 is one small step on that path.
