Hello There,
My name is Eddia Watts, and I am your new Teen Miss New Jersey for Teen Miss Earth United States. I was crowned on June 17th by the national director of Miss Earth United States, Laura Clark. It's so amazing to finally accomplish my dream of being a state title holder, but now I need your help to become a national title holder and become the next Teen Miss Earth United States! I am looking to raise $4,000 through your help. The national pageant takes place on August 1st in Washington, D.C., but my pageant weekend starts on July 29th, when my family and I head down to Washington. The entire weekend is dedicated to rehersals and a little bit of fun as well. I am so excited to go! The competition entails three main components: swimsuit, evening gown, and interview. And I'm extremely excited for the evening gown competition; it's my favorite of all three. Teen Miss Earth United States will also be broadcasted live on the internet; which means I'll be able to represent our great state in front of possibly millions of people!
I should tell you more about myself. I am an Asbury Park girl, I've lived in this town for 7 years. So every weekend is a beach weekend! My proudest moment is when I published my first book last October entitled "Elena: The Beginning". I also have 14 more books that are ready to publish. I attend Asbury Park High, where I am head of Bishop Broadcasting Network, our schools' news station. I have a 4.0 GPA, and I plan on taking all AP classes next year.
As Teen Miss Earth United States, my main platform is savibg our oceans. Out planet is made up of more than 70% of water and so far, we've caused so much damage to our bodies of water. Oil spills, landfills (which slowly release trash out into the oceans), and littering do not help the ecosystems of the oceans. I've taken initiative to stop it by doing routine beach clean ups right where I live and advocating about the dangers of a planet with no H20.
Thank you so much for reading this and I hope that you take the time to share this and possibly donate to the cause.
XO,
Eddia Watts
