The Azaylia Foundation and GoFundMe
Welcome to the Azaylia Foundation’s hub on GoFundMe.
Anyone can refer GoFundMe fundraisers for consideration from a donation from the Azaylia Foundation, which was created to support UK-based children under the age of 17 fighting cancer by helping them access treatment not readily available from the NHS, while at the same time working with cancer research and medical institutions to accelerate the availability of new treatments in the UK.

What the Azaylia Foundation Fund
The Azaylia Foundation was created to support UK-based children under the age of 17 fighting cancer by helping them access treatment not readily available from the NHS, while at the same time working with cancer research and medical institutions to accelerate the availability of new treatments in the UK.
For individual treatment cases, we operate exclusively on a referral system. Cases need to be referred to us by organisations that have verified a cancer diagnosis for which the treatment is not available on the NHS or in the UK, such as a UK hospital, cancer research institute or GoFundMe UK.
We are currently only able to donate to individual treatment cases via a GoFundMe campaign set up by an immediate family member. This ensures that there is a system in place to verify that funds donated go towards medical treatment and the travel required to obtain it.
All funding decisions will be taken at the discretion of our board of trustees, in compliance with the UK Charity Commission guidance, and in consultation with cancer research and medical experts.
Funding for potential treatments and the corresponding amounts donated will be considered on a case-by-case basis, and for which the trustees will also take into account match-funding status, treatment plan and destination identified, the experimental stage of the treatment sought, the medical evidence for the proposed treatment, the opportunity to support in non-financial means (for example by promoting the campaign to help reach the funding target), as well as the overall sustainability of the fund.
The foundation, at the discretion of the board of trustees, may also donate towards the purchase of equipment by UK cancer research and medical institutions when these can accelerate research into new treatments, or to improve access to and effectiveness of existing treatments.
