At least 16 people have died after extensive rain has caused flooding in Central Europe – Poland, the Czech Republic and Austria. Tens of thousands of people have been evacuated from their homes to get to safety. The flooding has been described as a “catastrophe of epic proportions” and the Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk has declared a state of emergency.
