Lost 241 lbs loose skin removal needed
Donation protected
My name is Lisa Corner, over the last 104 weeks (2 years) I have lost a total of 246 lbs. I went to see a plastic surgeon, he said he would estimate I have 25-30 lbs of excess skin.
Here is why I got started... In April 2011, I could barely walk, my primary doctor sent me to an orthopedic doctor to look at me. He told me if I didn't lose weight I would be in a wheel chair within 2 months. He sent me to get an MRI, the results were I have no more to very little cartridge left in my right hip. So I knew I had to do something. I called my mom upset from the news. She worked with a lady that had lost a lot of weight so she found out what she did. She let me know what program she followed, I called the 866 number, found a clinic near me and the rest is history. I have not looked back since.
I have been very opened about my weight loss journey from the very beginning. I wanted people to know that there is hope for anyone who is willing to put forth the effort. I had come to terms that I would be big forever. I had always been a big girl. When I found this program and I was getting results, I took it to the web. I did a lot of research, reading website after website getting as much information I could.
I found a forum and became an avid poster there, to date I have over 6,800 post. I have helped people all over country, letting them know they are NOT alone in this journey. There are a lot of us out there struggling with their weight. I have made many friends over the internet who have encouraged me and supported my words when I give support to others. In fact, one of them suggested I sign up for this to help with my surgery. I don't have health insurance so it is out of my pocket. I know that once I have the surgery to remove my excess skin my hip will feel much better. I will eventually have to have a hip replacement but for now, I will put up with the pain. It's not as bad as what it used to be, at least I can walk somewhat normal now.
Thank you very much for your support in advance
