1st Responder Prgrm for Phila Schls
My name is Joseph Russell, I am the CEO and Founder of a non-profit charitable organization named CPR-AED Public Awareness & Training Network, Inc(CPAT Network). My inspiration for creating such an organization is from my experience working as a paramedic for the Philadelphia Fire Department for 10 years.
We have created the 1st Responder Program for Philadelphia Schools to provide training to designated school staff. This program will also maintain current certification for all nurses that work in Philadelphia schools. The catalyst for this program was due to the sudden tragic loss of a 1st grade student from the Jackson Elementary school almost a year ago .
Emergency medical health education and training is a necessity for everyone, it includes CPR training, how to use a defibrillator and basic first aid. Our training's are effective, energetic, with an emphasis for "hands on learning". Responding to 911 medical emergencies is our experience and expertise. 5 years ago we provided training's to school staff and acquired defibrillators to be placed in several Philadelphia schools.
As our 10 year anniversary approches we celebrate training and certifying over 10,000 persons.

Seed funding from the University of Pennsylvania Health System’s Center for Resuscitation Science HeartRescue Program has been received to start this program(2014). Your support will keep it going. To date 9 schools including the Jackson Elementary School has received training and certification.
Will you help us today to prepare school staff to provide a basic level of emergency care if ever needed ? Your donation will help lives to be saved. Thank you!
