Team Hunt Battling ALS

On Oct. 15, 2019 the Hunt family got some terrible news Tyson has ALS and their lives will be forever changed. Tyson can no longer hold their 8 month old baby or get down on the floor to play with his other 2 other sons aged 5 and 3.  While other Dads are helping take care of their young children, Tyson is now being helped by his 5 year old son. Life expectancy is 2-5 years and paralysis can come even sooner.  Tyson has already lost so much mobility but he tries to keep his spirt strong. In a  moment, Tyson from taking care of his family, to not being able to earn money for his family because he can no longer work. Amanda now has the responsibility to take care of 3 young children and her sweet husband.  Amanda call them "her 4 boys." One just happens to be big and have ALS.  ALS is a disease with many unknowns and no know cures or treatments. There has not been any definitive cause for this illness. The reality is, all you will be doing is grasping for an answer.  We just ask that everyone pray for Tyson and his entire family.  Please pray that they will find a cure, that he will enjoy each day, pray that the young boys can stay strong, that Amanda will be able to help her sons and her husband. Please pray that this family may be blessed. There are no answer in why we get ALS or how to treat it but we can help ease their burden. According to HuffPost.com, “ALS is a very expensive disease, costing patients an estimated $300,000 a year. The majority of patients bankrupt their families with the costs, and an even larger number simply can’t afford the cost to stay alive, so they don’t. Can you imagine - having to stop BEING ALIVE because it’s too expensive?” At just 31 years old, Tyson and Amanda were not prepared for such a tragedy in their life and could simply use some help to give Tyson the care he needs to simply live. Tyson had a bright future ahead of him and a great career that has been cut short by his inability to move his hands and grasp small objects. Though they had been saving for the future at such a young age those saving don't amount to much. All proceeds will go towards Tyson’s treatment and care. He will need a custom wheelchair, breathing equipment  since he is already losing lung capacity, and they will need a handicap accessible bathroom. All of this equipment and changes can cost well over 100,000 dollars even after insurance. Please if you could help this young family to cover costs no family should have to pay.
