Dear Friends and Family of Felicity Hoffman Valencia,
On May 14th, 2016, our Felicity -- beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend -- was involved in a serious car accident in East Texas on Interstate 20. The world stopped for a moment. Friends and family quickly received urgent phone calls from good samaritans who witnessed the accident and had rushed to Felicity's aid.
The initial news was terrifying. Her truck had rolled at high speed and Felicity was badly injured. Careflite was inbound. After several harrowing hours of waiting at the hospital in Dallas, the family was finally informed that despite her life-threatening injuries, Felicity was alive and stable.
At this time, Felicity is in the ICU, surrounded by her family as she begins her recovery. She is stable and improving; however, her injuries are very severe. Her journey to full recovery will take several months at the very least.
We are just getting started.
Felicity is a fighter. All of us know this and it is one of the many reasons we love and adore her. She will overcome this and persevere, of that we have no doubt. But make no mistake, this will be a battle. And to win this battle she is going to need all of our love and support.
Due to a recent move and new job, Felicity does not have health insurance. She is receiving excellent care at the moment; however, we anticipate significant costs lying ahead. We need to be prepared.
To that end, our family will be starting a medical trust fund -- Felicity's Fund -- to help finance her recovery. The primary mission is to build a war chest for Felicity, so that she can focus on getting better and not waste her precious energy on bills.
Felicity is alive today by the grace of God. And for that we are eternally thankful. Now it is time for us all to come together as one, united in our support for Felicity in her time of need.
Please donate to Felicity's Fund. Together, we can help her do this!
Thank you.
Warmest Regards,
The Hoffman Family
