Hello Everyone, My name is Davis Daniels, a 31-Year-old living in Maine. I have lived with Chronic Crohn's disease since birth and had many operations and hospitalization due to my condition. However, I have always tried to look at the bright side and never let my situation get the better of me. Things have even started to look up with new treatments and medications over the last year or so. However, that all started to change this year in January.

As many of my friends and family might know, I have already had one operation this year on January 17th for an emergency exploratory laparotomy for a colon obstruction due to my hernia mesh and Crohns that left me out of work for a month. After further testing, it has also been found that I have insulin resistance and will need a second operation for a gastric sleeve for the insulin resistance. This operation will allow my body to correctly use the insulin it produces to break food down for energy rather than storing it as fat like it has been. This new needed operation is yet another issue that's linked with my Crohn's disease. Due to my previous intestinal operations, it is more than likely that this operation, generally done as minimally invasive, will have to be done as an open procedure. This will leave me bedridden and out of work for 3-4 weeks. For this reason, I am reaching out to you all for help again.

I have yet to recover from the cost of the first operation in January (over $100,000 Before insurance) and doubt that I can miss another 3-4 weeks of work without assistance. I must now seek the aid of my friends, family and kind strangers. Please donate anything you can and share this campaign link with others to help me cover the costs of missing out on work for several weeks again for the second time in a year. Without your help, I will end up setting this operation back a year or more and would like to avoid that if possible as I am tired of having to go to the hospital all the time for Chrons flares and stomach pains.
