On Tomas' behalf we are setting up this gofundme to help send him to the World Triathalon Series.
A little history in his own words: "14 years ago, my life was ripped away from me. Hit by a bus, I was told I would never compete again after having been a competitive athlete since very young. I felt I was buried alive. My experience included 5 operations, 2 years of intense therapy and my own stubborness. Loss of business, life changes, months in the hospital and a career change left me feeling alone in a foreign country. Trialathon made me feel unbreakable and pulled me through. I looked forward to every work out, every swim, if only 15 minutes at a time as I reconnected to my self. Love of my children and experiencing joy through racing brought me back. Going to World's is the culmination of years of work, dedication and a celebration of my return to life."
The funds raised will go to offset the expenses the McMillan family has taken on to support Tomas' journey. Numerous qualifying races, travel to competitions, entry fees, racing equipment, uniform, and all the details and myriad of expenses over the past year. On his behalf, we ask your help in this campaign for Tomas and his family to have a worry-free competition and joyful celebration.
