Annual Fundraiser for Hemphill Hounds

Happy Holidays to all. This is a favorite time of year for me as it’s all about being grateful -- a time to love and help others.

This is my 6th year doing a fundraiser to help the Connhounds of The Hemphill Hound Sanctuary.

You know of Steve’s heart and passion for taking in unwanted, unadoptable, and old former hunting Coonhounds -- specifically those abused by hunters.

I have seen the love and care these hounds receive personally on several occasions. I’ve met many of them.

Each one has a unique and very sad story of their life before joining Steve and The Hemphill Hounds. This pack is LOVED now. I'VE SEEN IT! They live a joyful life now after years of abuse.

Something many may not know, but is important to say, your love for these hounds and sharing his posts when a hound is in need has saved over 30 Coonhounds from death with the help of his dear friend, Denise Gareau just this past year alone. She’s a Shero, too and has taken in so many as she loves them so. Thank you Denise!

I thank you in advance for helping. Every penny of the donations goes toward to care of these hounds for their vet bills, food and medicine. Anything above the goal goes to saving hounds on death row in the Silence of the South.

Steve’s humility doesn’t allow him to ask for help.

Those who know him, know he’s spent his career helping others as a social worker. Saving human lives. He now saves the lives of Coonhounds.

Any donations beyond the goal will go to getting these former abused hunting Coonhounds off of death row in Southern Shelters. This means getting them spayed, neutered, dewormed, heartworm tested and treated to make them desirable to someone.

Advocating for their plight means so much to him and me!

Once rescued as Steve says, “They find their way.”

They have a right to safety and to be understood for the amazing hounds they are. So please consider helping me help them.
