Independence Day has NEVER been correlated with BLACK INDEPENDENCE. On July 4th 1776 Racist ass George Washington declared freedom in America, while black people were still slaves.
⏭ Fast Forward to present day, we are still held in bondage with chains. Currently the prison population is roughly 2.5 Million with 33% of the population being black, that’s 825,000 black people in prisons across America, in a country where we are only 13% of the population. That’s NOT FREEDOM!
Who wrote the declaration of independence? Thomas Jefferson did, the racist that believed that black people were inferior to white people, who also owned over 700 African- American slaves. And this is who they say is one of our founding fathers!?
Together these two “Founding Fathers” really founded “SYSTEMIC RACISM!
Today Black people still don’t have the freedom to live. As you can see time and time again with police and white supremacist killing OUR people, we CANT BREATHE, SLEEP, or RUN in the cases of Amhaud Abery, Breanna Taylor, George Floyd and many more.
Today we protest in remembrance of the freedoms African-Americans were never given.
