Chowder needs your help!

This is Chowder. He was taken to a shelter after he was attacked by another dog and severely wounded. This poor guy had gaping holes on his legs/armpit area from puncture wounds and tears. It was clear that he was used as a bait dog -- he has scars all over his legs from past attacks, and his K9s are filed down, which is a common trait of dogs used as bait in dogfighting. Due to the severity of his wounds and the risk of infection, we knew this boy needed a rescue and a visit to the animal hospital. Once he was in our care, we rushed him to the ER and scheduled follow-up appointments to make sure he gets the medical care he needs. On top of all of this, he is also Heartworm positive. His medical bills have already surpassed $800 for his injuries alone. 

Despite his condition and the trauma Chowder has been forced to endure, he is the absolute sweetest boy. He loves people and other dogs and could not be any more gentle and loving. We need your help to make sure this guy has everything he needs for a better future. No amount is too small.
