Carson needs our help

Dear Friends & Family,

My brother Carson Seitter has been in the hospital for over 35 days and he needs our help! On September 5, 2023, Carson fell injuring his left hip and leaving him unconscious for an extended period of time. What would start as a somewhat minor injury would end up leaving him fighting for his life for the past month, including 5 days on a ventilator in ICU and another week in CCU. The wound on Carson's hip became infected with a deadly flesh eating bacteria (Necrotizing Fasciitis) leaving Carson with a hole that can best be described as the size of a frisbee missing from his hip/leg/buttocks region. This debilitating injury will surely be problematic for Carson for the rest of his life. We all know Carson is a fighter and Carson is tough, he has endured 7 surgeries so far and will require skin graphs down the road. He is currently still at Novant Health in Wilmington, NC, but he is in good spirits! Life was looking up for Carson just before this accident, he is just days away from celebrating one year of sobriety (October 16!) and he had a job that he really enjoyed working with a dog. Unfortunately, he will not be able to work for many months when he is released from the hospital. He will need help with rent, food, medications, and other unforeseen expenses. Carson has been involved in our community not only as a police officer for 12 years but also as a DJ, comedian, and loving friend. If you can donate we would all appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts. I am proud of my brother, he has been so brave and strong and he is so thankful to all of the staff at Novant for saving his life. He didn't want to do this but I know deep down he will need a little help. If you can't donate please share this post and please keep my brother in your prayers.
