Long Hospital Stay

Hi my name is Chad and I live in Las Cruces, NM. My 19 year old daughter Kaitlyn has epilepsy and has to go into the hospital in Albuquerque on November 18th so that they can induce a seizure and complete an EEG. She has had epilepsy since the age of 4, and she has been to numerous specialists and doctors trying to find ways to help her. Her hospital stay will be between 4-7 days depending on how long it takes for her to have the seizure. The cost of this trip is something that extends beyond our normal budget, and includes, hotel accommodations, food, gas and other expenses, and though we are making every effort to save for the trip, it has been more difficult than we thought. My time is spent teaching, coaching, and running the Athletic department at the Middle school i teach at. My wife doordashes when she can, but she has become the primary caregiver for my daughter. My daughter tries to be as independent as she can, and has recently started working as an Educational Assistant in an elementary school through the 18-21 program she is part of. This EEG is necessary to try and help my daughter, and this is the reason for asking for help to cover some of the cost of the trip.
