Coming back home

Let me start off by saying, I hate that I have to do this. I'm not one to ask for help and being vulnerable isn't my strong suit. Being from Washington my entire life, packing up and moving across the country to Texas seemed like a great new chapter for me and for Gage. It's been almost 2 months now. He started 3rd grade, he turns 9 next week, I found a job at a cute locally owned cafe but nothing seems to help that we are both very homesick. As a parent, you have to do what's best for your children and that is my biggest motivation always. We've come to realize that "there's no place like home". It's best for both of us to come back to where our roots are, where our families are, where our friends are and most importantly, where we belong.
This is where we need help. It's a 34+ hour drive from here to our hometown of East Wenatchee and I simply cannot afford travel expenses (food, gas, and hotels) by myself to get us there. I'm planning probably 4 days and 3 nights on the road. Like I said, I hate that I even have to do this but sometimes, you have to ask for help. We love y'all and can't wait to be back home!
