Please Help Support the Patterson Family

Donation protected
Hearts were broken this Valentine’s Day when John Patterson, at the young age of 50, succumbed to his nearly two-decades long battle with cancer.

John was a medical marvel whose particular case has advanced research into rare cancer treatment protocols. His experience continues to help other cancer patients and those who care for them. By supporting John's family, you are not just helping them through this difficult time, you are honoring a legacy of hope and resilience that continues to make a difference in the fight against cancer. Your compassion will help to honor the man, who–in the face of adversity–chose to live a life filled with love, joy, and a deep commitment to others.

A true warrior and beacon of strength, John was a devoted husband, nurturing father, caring son, supportive brother, and loyal friend. He embraced life with a gentle smile and an easygoing nature; he was an avid outdoorsman and lifelong resident of the Jersey Shore who loved pranks and relished moments with his family and friends.

His journey with cancer began shortly after he married his soulmate, Stephanie, and they welcomed their first child into the world, marking the beginning of a challenging yet inspiring chapter in their lives.

After his initial recovery, John and Stephanie gave back but moved forward. They channeled their experiences into positive action, becoming actively involved in cancer fundraising efforts, organizing events and supporting various foundations. The two continued to grow their family and build a future. Life that was good and it was cherished.

However, John’s own cancer turned out to be a rare and aggressive form that would return with a vengeance time and time again. Yet despite the uncertain path ahead, John and Stephanie, hand in hand, faced the disease with a hope that never wavered, an optimism that never dimmed, and a determination that never faltered.

John adamantly refused to let cancer define him, showing incredible fortitude as he endured countless treatments, procedures, and surgeries without complaint. He was an amazingly strong person who never stopped fighting while always striving to be the best husband, father, and provider for his wife and three young daughters, Machaela (22), Janie (14), and Susannah (13). In spite of his almost constant illness, he chose to live fully and was focused on his unwavering commitment to family and friends while taking joy in the simple things in life.

Unfortunately, over the course of many years John’s health continued to significantly decline, which compromised his ability to operate his once-thriving small business. That, combined with overwhelming medical expenses, caused significant financial strain that continues to overshadow his family’s future. The pain of their loss is magnified by the uncertainties they now face.

Please consider making a donation to the Stephanie Patterson Family Trust during this time of grief and crisis. Your contribution will not only have a direct, meaningful impact on his family but also ensure that John's spirit of love, giving, and hope continues to live on.

With sincere gratitude, thank you in advance for your generosity.
