Building Homes For Those In Need - March Break 2025
Donation protected
I’m helping my son Marcus raise funds for his overseas volunteer experience. Through a collaboration with the ANCOP (Answering the Cries of the Poor) Foundation, the Toronto District Catholic School Board is sending a group of student leaders and teachers to construct homes in the Philippines over the 2025 March Break.
Here’s his story,
Hi, my name is Marcus, and I am a Grade 12 student at St. John Paul II Secondary School. I have an incredible opportunity to join a volunteer trip to the Philippines, where I'll be working alongside a team to build homes for those in need. I am excited to make a difference in the lives of families who face difficult living conditions, but I need your support to make this trip a reality!
This trip is more than just a chance for me to travel—it's an opportunity for me to give back and use my time and effort to help those who need it most. The project I’ll be a part of focuses on building safe, sturdy houses for families who currently live in unsafe conditions. We will be working directly with local communities, learning their stories, and helping to create lasting change through better housing.
The funds raised will go toward covering my travel expenses, accommodation, food, and building supplies for the trip. The breakdown includes airfare to and from the Philippines, local transport, basic living expenses, and a contribution to the materials needed for construction. Your support will directly help me reach this goal and make this trip possible.
Here’s how you can help:
Donate: Any amount, big or small, will make a difference and bring me closer to my goal. Even a small contribution can go a long way in helping a family find a safe place to live.
Share: If you aren’t able to donate, please consider sharing this campaign with your friends, family, and on social media. The more people who hear about it, the closer I’ll get to my goal!
This trip will not only allow me to help others, but it will also be a valuable learning experience for me. I am excited to immerse myself in the culture, learn from the people I meet, and understand the challenges they face. It will shape me into a more compassionate and responsible global citizen, and I hope to bring back these lessons to share with my community in Canada.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and considering supporting my journey. With your help, I am confident that we can make a difference in the lives of families in the Philippines. Let’s build a better future together!
If you have any questions or would like to know more about the trip, feel free to reach out.
Thank you for your generosity and support!
