Dear Friends,
Many of you have been on this musical journey with me from the very beginning. You were there for some of my first performances: in church, in your home, or in the orchestra. You've encouraged me so much along the way: through the unpredictable, yet fulfilling periods of growth, not only as a musician, but more importantly, as a person.
I come to you now, to invite you to continue this journey with me by way of a unique opportunity.
I have been offered a partial scholarship to attend the Aspen Music Festival this summer, in Aspen, Colorado. From June 23 through August 17, I will learn from professors who are sought-after worldwide, be immersed in a rigorous orchestral program, and work side by side with talented musicians and artists. I am elated to have been selected to be a part of the Aspen Music Festival, and I am looking forward to a summer of musical growth, a vital chapter in the furtherance of my career as a harpist.
Aspen, Colorado is quite a pricey place to be. While I have been offered a generous scholarship to attend the festival, there remains a tuition balance that I will need to cover on my own. Additionally, I will be paying for housing and all living expenses while I am in Aspen for the two months.
It is my humble request that you consider sponsoring me for this incredible opportunity.
