Bring Nicleson home!

My name is Jennifer DeWitt.  I am a wife and a mom of five kids.  My husband and I adopted a little girl from Haiti  who joined our family seven years ago-just days following the January 2010 earthquake.  In the past seven years Gardina has blossomed and grown into a beautiful, thoughtful and hard-working young lady.  About two years ago, we learned she has a biological brother that she never knew anything about.  In August 2015 we were able to travel to Haiti and meet him at the orphanage where she had once lived.  We also met her biological family who lived a couple hours from the orphanage.  Because our hearts were broken for their fractured family, we traveled back to Haiti in October 2015 and helped Gardina's parents retrieve Nicleson from the orphanage and placed him back in their home.  We sponsored his eduacation in hopes that  he would be able to remain in the home.  We know that being in his culture and with his family is best.  However, due to their extreme poverty, we recently learened that he had returned to the orphanage.  It is our desire to make him a permanent part of our family!  We have contacted an adoption agency and learned that we are viable candidates to adopt him.   It is heartbreaking to place a price on Nicleson's life, BUT there is a very real price attached to his life!  The cost to complete his adoption is estimated at $40,000.  That number is so overwhelming we really don't know how or where to even begin.  All donations for his adoption will be used to pay for a variety of  necessities that might include but are not limited to the following:  monthly support for him at his orphanage until he is in the US, lawyer fees, filing paperwork, agency and in country fees as well as fees in Haiti, and travel expenses.  We need help to complete the task ahead.  We are asking for  your hlep, but more importantly than helping us, you are really providing a future full of opportunities for a 12 year old boy.  We will begin the paperwork with the agency as soon as we have the funds available.   It could take between one and two years to complete, so you can see the urgency to begin sooner rather than later!  It is our dream to enlarge our family by reuniting a brother and sister!  We will be eternally grateful for any consideration toward getting Nicleson here!
